This is Brown's second child. She has an 8 year old daughter Phoenix Chi, with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar.
Mel and Baby B are said to be well and resting comfortably.
It's too bad that the child wasn't born just one day later. It would be somewhat ironic being as it is Eddie Murphy's birthday today.
