Out and about at the park this weekend I spotted a little peachy-pink bud on cherry tree. anthropologie pillows, chanel orange fizz nail lacquer, rachel rose tee
But as Monday morning dawned grey, dreary and cold, my dream of an early spring dimmed. For the time being, I'll turn to a pops of peach to keep hope alive.
A large piece creates a focal point and makes a stunning statement, either walking down the street or in your living room yet still doesn't seem totally in your face.
I'd love to turn this clutch into a work bag (practical no - but fabulous, yes!). And since I actually have high ceilings. that "desk lamp" would add the perfect quirk to the space!
What I am really craving right now are these soft yummy neutrals. They pair easily with so many things and on a rainy dreary day like today they bring a bit of light coziness that I want to wrap up in.

Splashes of Leopard print are popping up all over the city. The beautiful print is a fun playful accent and I myself am angling for a Leopard print coat like this one.

For Fashions Night Out last night I attended the Opening Ceremony's French flea market at the Ace Hotel. The real stand out of the evening for me was the Opening Ceremony Pendelton collaboration collection. Opening Ceremony brilliantly transformed the signature patterns and prints of Pendelton into high fashion pieces.
The first chill of fall is in the air in New York and has me thinking of putting my summer dresses away and heading and figuring out what I am going to wear! One of my favorite things to try this fall is colored tights with peep toe shoes.
I have been seeing the most amazing nail jobs lately in New York. Yesterday I saw a girl on the corner and each of her fingernails was painted a different shade of pink. And today at the pharmacy my cashier had the most amazing mint green nails and one nail on each hand had an intricate black and white pattern. I started to think am I going to the wrong salon? I did some research and found out that these crazy patterns are most likely Minx nail decals. They can only be applied by a certified salon which you can find on their website. Sephora also launched Chic Print for Nails which come in several fun dyi patterns $15.
So ready for a season change and to dive into these lush rich colors. These bohemian Kimono inspired jackets by Nicole Richie's Winter Kate line are so stylish and can be paired with so many things!
Lately I have been noticing all sorts of cool jewelry made out of rope. While rope on it's own would make a somewhat unexceptional piece, pair it with gold or silver, and interesting stones and viola some amazingly unique pieces.
I am excited for the Premiere of Mad Men tonight. I have noticed a lot of 50s inspired fashion trends for fall. Think cardigan sets, brooches, and full skirts.
This summer is all about nautical accents. Whether you are actually going to be in Marthas Vineyard this weekend is besides the point. You can still look like you just stepped off a sailboat with these adorable pieces.
Now that the sun is blazing and the days are hot, I want to wear bright colors and pretend I am headed to the boardwalk – instead of to work. These retro neon colors remind me of middle school (in a good way). All I need to do now is tease my hair and get a skateboard.

My dears, I admit I might be off trend here but when I came upon Daytrip Society, a brilliant online variety shop based in Maine, I was immediately smitten with all of their anchor-based gear. Anchors are still cool right??
Well, even if anchors aren't the hot thing anymore, I'm loving these options. They're quite sea-worthy if you ask me! You can check out even more here.
I saw a girl walking on the street yesterday in the cutest pair of black and white tie dye leggings. I like the edginess of black and white tie dye and it doesn't feel like such a 70's throw back.
Shown: Proenza Schouler Dress; Vince Smudge-Print Tee $125 Bergdorf Goodman, Denim-Rock skirt $76 French Connection, Tory Burch Tie Dye Scarf $95.
I have a recent fixation with rose gold. It is the perfect metallic shade for the summer. It has that soft "sunset" feel to it and makes me long for evening walks on the beach and poolside cocktails.
Shown: Pailenette Mini $420 and Reva Tory Burch Flats $255 MyTheresa.com, Michael Kors Watch $250 and Chan Luu Wrap Bracelet $220 Net-a-Porter, Laura Lee Rose Stud Earrings $115 and Lola Rose Gold Sandstone Semi Precious Ring $235 Asos.com
After many months of dark colors since the spring has sprung I am totally infatuated with the color white. White jeans, the perfect white t-shirt, and dressy white sandals are all on my shopping list this month.
My favorite thing to accessorize with right now is a light weight gauzy scarf. It adds just a bit of coziness on a chilly spring morning and looks chic throughout the day. For inspiration I thought I would share these images by Madewell 1937. I think they did a good job pairing scarves with these spring time looks.
With the whole military inspired fashion craze I thought I would post a few items that won't make you feel like Rambo. These 80%20 sandal shoes ($149) are really cute and fun. They have a bit of a safari feel to them as well and will be great for tracking that coyote in Central Park. And the little bit of studded gold bling on this Pyramid Stud Stretch Band Belt by Cara Accessories $118 add just a touch of glam. Both available at Intermix.
