Figure skater Johnny Weir is one of those rare, lucky beings who gets custom pieces from designer Christian Louboutin sent his way. The splashy television personality told NYMag's The Cut that he would soon be the proud owner of a pair of custom-made Louboutin skates which, of course, will feature a bright red sole.
Weir seems to have quite a bit planned for fashion week, too: He'll be a "centerpiece" at Elise Overland's show, walk the runway for Asher Levine and collaborate with Adrienne Landau on a very special fur coat. Weir was, of course, criticized by animal rights groups for a fur-lined performance costume just before the last Winter Olympics. Take that, PETA. [via]
