Before Ashley Tisdale hit it big, she was working retail at the mall.
In an interview on Lopez Tonight (via CocoPerez), Tisdale explained, "My parents really wanted me to learn the value of a dollar; I grew up in the business but I went to regular school my whole life, and so they wanted me to have a real job. And I did, and I went to the places [where] I wanted 30 percent off, though. I never brought home a paycheck, I was pretty much spending it at the stores."
Tisdale went on to admit that she was actually fired from a gig at Abercrombie & Fitch...before she even put in a day's work. Tisdale said she accidentally missed her start date for the sales rep position, and found out she'd lost the job when she went in to use her employee discount. Tough shakes—but something tells us it didn't set her back too far. [via]
